Kinder Ovo Packaging 2007

Ferrero’s Kinder Ovo (Kinder Surprise) is a chocolate egg with a collectable surprise toy inside. Each year the collection of toys and the artwork for the packaging are replaced. In 2007 sales of the product were supported by a TV commercial featuring a magical factory where Kinder Ovo was made. The design for the packaging for 2007 was developed to reflect this, and the magical factory was depicted on one side of the box. As the front and back of the packaging were not defined, the product could be displayed in two different ways on POS shelves. The other side of the packaging artwork represented a scene where the surprise toys had come to life.
